Suppliers of Rabbits based in Warwickshire & Leicestershire
We are so excited to share with you all that we are starting to breed Mini Lop Rabbits. This all started because when I was eight months pregnant with my third son. I asked William what gift he wanted from the new baby. He announced that he wanted a pet rabbit!! Like he doesn't have enough animals already! I was really hoping he would say a Ben 10 toy as I had already got him one of these. But no he wanted a rabbit the more I tried to tell him he really wanted Swampfire off Ben 10 the more he wanted a rabbit in fact he then decided that Harry also wanted a rabbit.
So off I went in hunt for rabbits and a hutch. Luckily we were given a double story hutch from one of our lovely customers. (Thanks Roop love you xx) so it was only the rabbits I needed. I went to so many local pet shops and all the baby rabbits looked so scared and tried to run away the moment they were approached. When they were finally caught they scratched and wriggled so in my view not a great pet for a three year old child.
I then thought how about looking for private sellers. After looking on the internet I found lots of rabbits for sale. However William had now changed his mind and said that not only did he want a rabbit he wanted a white rabbit with grey ears and Harry wanted a grey rabbit. (At this point I was nearly nine months pregnant and I was struggling to find baby rabbits for sale let alone in certain colours) I viewed so many rabbits but was horrified about how they were kept. There were so many kept in such awful conditions in tiny little cages and kept in peoples garages and sheds and with no outside space whatsoever. I knew I could never buy any animal from someone who clearly didn't love their animals and saw them purely as money making objects.
By now I was overdue and all I could think about was rabbits. Thankfully I spoke to a lovely lady who clearly loves her animals as much as I do and who had baby rabbits for sale. She had the colours that William wanted but they were from different litters and they were a girl and a boy. So after handling not only the babies but both sets parents I went home with Buzz and Woody. William was so pleased with them and they were such a joy to have around as they loved being handled. They were let out daily and would hop up to you when they saw you.
After I had Jack we had so many visitors who came to meet him although all William would do is drag everyone outside to meet his new pets. I was amazed that so many of my friends who had wanted to buy rabbits and who either couldn't find any friendly ones, or who got ones from pet shops, that were so wild that were never handled as their kids soon were scared of them. So it got me thinking what if there was somewhere local that you could buy friendly bunnies from. Well now there is. We have travelled miles and miles to get the right breeding stock (Thank you Danny for just nipping to Yorkshire, Nottingham , Wolverhampton and Doncaster to name a few places) to pick up our new babies and our friendly adults.
Our rabbits are kept outside in double hutches, all of our hutches have toys for them to play with and every other day they have access to huge outside areas where they are free to hop around. All our bunnies are kept at home so they are handled every day and are SUPER SUPER friendly and run or should that be "hop" up to you as soon as they see you.
If you would like anymore information on any litters that are for sale or that are due please give me a call 07970 929 886 but please keep an on our rabbits for sale page.
Lots of love Heidi, Danny and the Boys (not forgetting the bunnies) xx
